The Quiet Work of Building

What many people don’t see is the quiet work that makes all of those things possible.

From the very beginning, I believed this vision deserved more than good intentions. It deserved a strong operational foundation that could support it for years to come. Every policy, every document, every grant submission, and every process we create is another brick in that foundation.

While much of my work happens behind a computer screen, I never lose sight of who it’s ultimately for.

Every form represents a future family.

Every policy protects someone who deserves to feel safe.

Every successful grant application brings us one step closer to opening our doors.

Every organized system helps ensure that when mothers and babies arrive at Nevaeh Living, they encounter an environment that is prepared with excellence, compassion, and care.

Building a foundation isn’t always the most visible work, but it may be some of the most important.

I’m grateful to be part of a team that believes healing deserves both compassionate hearts and strong systems. It takes both to build something that lasts.

Thank you for walking alongside us as we continue preparing a place where hope can take root.

Throughout August, we’re introducing you to the people helping build the foundation of Nevaeh Living. We hope you’ll continue walking this journey with us as we prepare a place where mothers and babies can experience hope, healing, and restoration.

What’s Taking Shape at Nevaeh Living

  • Preparing for our first home by exploring opportunities to secure a safe, welcoming space where mothers and babies can begin their healing journey.
  • Building community partnerships with local organizations, healthcare providers, and community leaders who share our vision for supporting mothers and infants.
  • Developing our clinical program by creating a trauma-informed Intensive Outpatient Program designed specifically for the unique needs of the women we will serve.
  • Strengthening our organizational foundation through policies, procedures, operational systems, and grant development that will support sustainable, long-term growth.
  • Exploring educational opportunities that allow us to serve the community now while building professional relationships, increasing awareness, and strengthening the foundation for future programs and services.
  • Launching our capital campaign and creating meaningful opportunities for individuals, businesses, and organizations to help prepare our home and programs.
  • Growing awareness by sharing the story of Nevaeh Living through our Journal, community events, social media, and conversations with those who want to learn more.
  • Continuing professional growth as our clinical and leadership team prepares to provide the highest standard of trauma-informed care from day one.
  • Exploring educational opportunities that allow us to serve the community now while building professional relationships, increasing awareness, and strengthening the foundation for future programs and services.
  • Connecting with churches across the greater Albuquerque area that are interested in learning about Nevaeh Living and exploring ways to partner with us in prayer, service, and support.

Join the Story

If Nevaeh Living has been on your heart, we would love to invite you to become part of what God is building.

One of the most meaningful ways to support this mission is through monthly giving. Recurring gifts provide the steady foundation that allows us to plan with confidence and continue building toward the day our first family walks through the front door.

Whether you choose to pray, give, volunteer, or simply share our story with someone else, you become part of the foundation God is laying for generations of healing. Before a single mother calls Nevaeh home, a community is already helping build it—through faithful prayer, generous hearts, and the quiet hope that restoration is possible.

Thank you for walking this journey with us. We are grateful to share this calling with a community that believes healing can begin with one mother, one baby, one faithful step, and – by God’s grace – echo through generations.
